Main limitations

Not a general conversational assistant and does not fetch URLs on its own. Supply HTML through a separate application or pipeline. Web Search, File Uploads and Code Execution remain unassigned. The noncommercial license restricts permitted deployments.

Cost and access

No hosted subscription or token fee for local inference within the license’s permitted uses. Hardware, electricity and setup are separate. CC BY-NC 4.0 is attached to this package. Obtain suitable permission before commercial use. Local hardware and electricity remain separate costs.

Getting started

Install a current compatible Ollama version, review the exact model license, then run: ollama run reader-lm:1.5b. API means the local runtime endpoint, not a hosted service included with the weights.
